Local walks

Fownhope is home to many beautiful walks and is very popular with walkers

Fownhope Parish is blessed with many miles of footpaths enjoying a public right of way, known as PROWs. The definitive map showing the footpaths, bridleways and highways in Fownhope parish can be downloaded here: Fownhope Definitive Map

In addition to this, a series of walks have been produced by The Fownhope Residents Association together with the help of many villagers. Financial support was given by the Countryside Agency through their "Walking the Way to Health" initiative to publish these walks. Other organisations/groups also participating and giving assistance are: Fownhope Medical Centre, Herefordshire Nature Trust, the Wye Valley National Landscape, local landowners and farmers.

Whilst you are walking, you may like to take a look at our Five Flowers for Fownhope guide - a monthly guide to the many varied wild flowers that grow around the various landscapes in Fownhope.
