Data Protection

On 25th May 2018 new EU legislation came into force which governs how and why organisations store personal data and we would like to share with you how we store and handle the data we hold.  This data is typically names, addresses and contact details but may also include, for example, next of kin information for our team of volunteers, or reports or letters detailing any contact we have had with you, or perhaps photographs taken during Parish Council activities.

Why we hold your data

In order to fulfil our obligations to you it is necessary to keep some personal data, such as those illustrated above.  Please be assured we treat your data with the utmost care.

When we'll share your data

We may sometimes need to share your data with Parish Councillors to help us provide a better service to you.  If it is relevant to your enquiry, we may also share your information with partner organisations such as Balfour Beatty or Herefordshire Council so they can carry out their responsibilities.  They have a duty to maintain your data securely and to use it only for the purpose it was given.

Know your rights
