Badminton Club

Fownhope Badminton Club is a social club that play for fun in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They get together on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 pm to 10.00 pm in the Village Hall

Flower Club

Fownhope Flower Club meets every month (except August) on the third Thursday at 7.30 pm in the New Memorial Hall. Our workshops are self help groups with our more experienced members helping the novices.

Gardening Club

Fownhope Gardening Club meet on the last Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in the new Memorial hall. The club involves talks, lectures and demonstrations and there are often plants for sale and good advice on gardening.

Local History Group

Fownhope’s Local History Group aims to promote interest in the Village of Fownhope and its surroundings, especially from a historic perspective. They have published books on Fownhope’s history.

Table Tennis Group

The table tennis group started back in 2005 and has been playing in the Village Hall every Wednesday morning 10am to noon ever since.  They do not enter competitions or any league, but are just a friendly social group playing for exercise and fun.

Bowls Club

Fownhope Bowls Club is a competitive, welcoming club that regularly plays short mat bowls on Thursday and Sunday evenings between 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm in the New Memorial Hall.

Fownhope Fringe

Fownhope Fringe was founded by a group of friends in the village. It involves workshops and events on Saturday in the Pavilion that include music, art, wine tasting, photography, crafts, and more!

Heart of Oak

the Heart of Oak society holds a number of events during the year including the annual Heart of Oak Club walk, where villagers, young and old, process through the streets with sticks decorated with elaborate flowers

Recreation Field Association

The village has a Recreation Field that is used for a range of sports and numerous other less organised leisure activities. It includes 2 football pitches, an artificial cricket strip, a skateboard facility and a floodlit practice area.

Warrior Taekwon-Do

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art.  The academy has been running classes from Fownhope’s Memorial Hall for over 15 years including separate Indigo Warriors children’s classes for 5-8 year olds.

Cubs and Scouts

Fownhope Cub Scouts meet every Monday from 6.00 pm until 7.30 pm. Meetings usually take place at Fownhope New Memorial Hall but we can often be found out and about in the local area.

Strollers Cricket Club

Strollers Cricket Club was formed in 1964 and has enjoyed over 40 years of cricket in the Herefordshire leagues. The ethos of the club is to enjoy cricket, to play fair, to play to win but not at all costs.
