Strategy Group
Membership
All council members serve on this group and, as strategic and financial information is likely to be discussed, non-councillors are prevented from serving on this WG. However, experts may be invited to assist with specific issues.
Roles and responsibilities
The Working Group meet at least once each year with the following remit:
Organise an annual training session for the whole council where strategic issues can be discussed
Discuss governance issues such as review of WGs, policies, Standing Orders
Develop and monitor the five year Forward Plan (Forward Plan Working Group: Cllrs Lavinia Smith and Gareth Williams with the Clerk)
Ensure Vision is being achieved
Monitor KPIs set out in Councillor handbook
